Squeezing the lemons of life with zest. Meet Deanna Wicklund, wife, mom, and President of the not-so-profit, Wicklund Warriors. The self-professed leader of the Bad Blood Club, she and her Board assist local families with blood cancer. Why? Because she is a blood cancer survivor. She is a 10yr leukemia, stem cell transplant survivor and the steward of other survivors' stories. "Give it to me, I can take it"

On Thursday, August 10th on a gray day that turned into a cloudy evening with the occasional shower, over 300 runners and walkers, more than 30 volunteers, food trucks, cancer survivors, family members and supporters came together at Siena College for the Wicklund Warrior’s inaugural Bad Blood Run! The overcast weather certainly didn’t stop everyone from coming together. As the organization’s name implies, many benefactors and supporters are warriors in their own right, facing far greater challenges on a daily basis....
